CAR-T cell therapy

A treatment that changes your own immune cells in a lab so they can recognize and attack cancer. Some of your T cells, a type of white blood cell, are collected and changed in a lab so they carry a receptor (CAR) that recognizes cancer cells. They are grown in large numbers and given back to you through a drip.
